What is Autism?

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a disability characterized by challenges in social behaviors and interactions, verbal and non-verbal communication, and learning. Autism is a spectrum disorder with a neurological basis. There are many subtypes of autism, and they are a result of both environmental and genetic factors. 

According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-5), Autism is defined as “persistent deficits in social communication and social interaction,” and “restricted, repetitive patterns of behaviors, interests, and activities.” 

Autism is very often joined with sensory integration difficulties, as well as medical challenges such as immune function and gastrointestinal problems. You will also receive a payment receipt via email. 

Two to four days prior to the live webinar, you will receive an email from Theramoves which will contain a link to complete the registration process for the online autism course for professionals. 
The link will take you to the platform of the course, such as GoToWebinar. The email will also contain the autism training PowerPoint and any additional handouts. If you are using an I-Device, please restart your device once you download GoToWebinar or GoToMeeting.

  • Once you register with our online platform (GoToWebinar) you will receive a link to join the autism training for professionals. This link will be sent again an hour before the webinar.  
  • Join the autism awareness continuing education course at the designated date and time.
  • We ask that you join 15-20 minutes prior to the commencement of the course to ensure proper access and avert any technical issues. Then go ahead and make a coffee 🙂

  • Congratulations! Score a 70% or higher and receive your certificate of completion via email.

A full refund less $75 dollars administrative fee per course will be given for cancellations received up to 3 days prior to the course. After that, no refunds will be given for cancellations unless a replacement participant is registered.
