What Is Reflex Integration?

Reflex Integration improves the neurological foundations of sensory-motor development using developmental tools in a personalized program to refine the body’s reflexes and enable it to function well. 

To better understand reflex integration, consider the following. A baby enters the world helpless, fully dependent on others for survival. However, infants are given a series of tools through which they can learn to protect themselves, ensure their basic needs are met, and begin to navigate the world around them: primitive reflexes.

These reflexive motor patterns consist of involuntary responses that should remain present for short periods to assist in development. The rooting reflex enables a baby to turn toward its food source. The Moro reflex is designed as a basic protective response. The asymmetric tonic neck reflex sets the stage for eye/hand coordination. After several months, these primitive patterns should fade to the background – or become “integrated” – making way for voluntary motor control.

While these primitive reflexes, as assessed in occupational therapy, are essential for survival in the early stages of life, if they persist or remain “unintegrated,” they can affect a child’s ability to develop higher-level developmental and motor skills.

After your course order is placed, you will receive a Thank you email with FAQs that will include all the information for the upcoming primitive reflex integration training. You will also receive a payment receipt via email. 2-4 days before the live webinar you will receive an email from Theramoves which will contain a link for the platform the course will be using such as GoToWebinar to complete the
registration process, please go ahead and complete that. The email will also contain the course PowerPoint and any additional handouts.

  • Once you register with our online platform (Go To Webinar) you will receive a link to “Join the Webinar”. This link comes again an hour before the webinar.  
  • Join the reflex integration courses online at the designated date and time.
  • We ask that you join 15-20 minutes before the commencement of the course to ensure proper access and avert any technical issues, then go ahead and make coffee 🙂

  • For CEU purposes, our system automatically logs your attendance when you sign in for a webinar and log out. (If you have technical difficulties and have to sign back on, do not panic! No worries the system recognizes that).  
  • Once you complete reflex integration continuing education, you will receive an email with the post-course quiz/course evaluation and learning outcome measure on the material presented.
  • Please check your spam/promotions folders as it may inadvertently end up there.
  • Congratulations! Score 70% or higher and receive your certification in primitive reflex integration via email.

A full refund of 75 dollars administrative fee for each of the reflex integration courses will be given for cancellations up to 3 days before the course. After that, we do not offer refunds for cancellations unless a replacement participant is registered.
