Kristen Pfeil OTD, OTR/L graduated from Creighton University in 2002 with a clinical doctorate in occupational therapy. Over the last 22 years she has spent her professional career in pediatrics working in NICU, early intervention, outpatient clinic and school based settings. She owns a pediatric therapy practice in Lincoln, NE. Connect Pediatric Therapy specializes in partnering with families struggling with sensory processing, self-regulation, and feeding difficulties. She focuses on empowering families to be an active part of intervention so that gains made during treatment can lead to functional gain within home and community.
Kristen has done program development and implementation of occupational therapy treatment programs within NICU follow-up clinics, outpatient hospital settings, and outpatient pediatric settings. She has done extensive training in sensory integration, feeding, vision development and primitive reflex integration. She has done advanced mentorship through the STAR Center, and been involved in research in collaboration with STAR. She has lectured on primitive reflex integration, vision and learning and feeding skills. She offers onsite mentoring in NICUs and one-on-one mentorship for therapists new to the field of pediatric occupational therapy. Kristen has a passion for teaching in order to further the body of knowledge in pediatrics, within occupational therapy and across professions.
