This is a 6-hour workshop open to occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other clinicians who work with children or adults. The workshop offers techniques and tools that help people achieve calm and self-regulation. This course offers the Neurobiology of survival and reactivity. You will learn a cadre of strategies and tools that can be implemented immediately to expand your treatment program by decreasing stress responses. This course will broaden your understanding of the role of social-emotional health on your treatment of developmental motor coordination, inattention, oppositional defiance, learning disabilities, and behavior. Your clients will develop a sense of safety so that you and your clients can be positive, self-regulated, grounded, confident, and secure.
The Thrive Method takes a multi-pronged approach toward working with children who have difficulty regulating their emotional state and behavior. This course offers proven strategies and tools that can be implemented immediately via telehealth or in person, for children, teens, and adults.
