Individuals with ASD, social-behavioral challenges and/or learning difficulties are often more likely to be both victims and accidental perpetrators of bullying behavior. The first part of this workshop outlines a tiered model of intervention for bullying situations in school. These include generic antibullying programs, targeted programs for specific students, intervention for accidental perpetrators, and support required for repeat offenders. Jed Baker, Ph.D. is the director of the Social Skills Training Project, an organization serving individuals with autism and social communication problems. He writes, lectures, and provides training internationally on the topic of social skills training and managing challenging behaviors. He is an award-winning author of 8 books.
