Children with neuromotor impairment benefit from hands-on treatment and kinesiotaping to improve therapeutic outcomes. Best practice emphasizes the use of therapeutic interventions that can be carried over in the natural environment. Instructing caregivers in therapeutic taping will improve functional outcomes in the young child with a neuromotor impairment.
This hands-on and interactive course will empower participants to implement kinesiology taping for the most common problems in the pediatric patient with neuromotor disorders such as: truncal hypotonia, shoulder girdle instability, and extremity dysfunction. The participants will leave with kinesiology taping skills they can integrate into their toolbox the next day to improve therapeutic outcomes.
